The NZSCM annual conference is Aotearoa New Zealand's premier academic event in cosmetic medicine, bringing together professionals to share knowledge and experiences. The New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine (NZSCM) was established over 20 years ago by a small group of cosmetic medicine practitioners who wanted to create a forum for professional discourse and improved patient care.

Through endorsement by the New Zealand Medical Council and the RNZGCGP these initiatives have now become the required standard for cosmetic medicine in Aotearoa New Zealand. We are the only providers of postgraduate training pathways for medical doctors to gain the diploma of cosmetic medicine. NZSCM is now the single unified body in cosmetic medicine in Aotearoa New Zealand representing our profession and providing training, supervision and professional accreditation.

Practitioners in the field of cosmetic medicine are encouraged to not only become members of NZSCM but also actively contribute to quality assurance programmes and research in our specialty. The annual scientific meeting is the foremost conference in Aotearoa New Zealand in our field.
