Dr Jenni Irvine knew from a young age that she wanted to be part of a caring and healing profession. She started nursing before studying medicine. She graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa in 1992, then moved to the UK where she specialised as a General Practitioner, earning her MRCGP in 2002 along with a diploma from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRCOG).
While working in Northumberland, her interest in dermatology grew through her work in skin clinics, prompting her to complete a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University. This laid the foundation for her passion in aesthetic medicine, which she has now been practicing since 2006.
After relocating to New Zealand in 2018, Dr Irvine completed the NZSCM Diploma in Cosmetic Medicine in 2021. She is now a Board Member and the Society’s Education Officer, where she plays a key role in shaping and developing NZSCM’s training programme. Known for her calm, thoughtful presence and supportive, practical teaching style, Dr Irvine is highly respected by trainees and peers alike.
Her commitment to care, precision, and integrity is woven through everything she does from clinical work to medical education. We are incredibly fortunate that she now calls Aotearoa home, bringing international experience, deep expertise, and an unwavering dedication to high standards in cosmetic medicine.
